Web Development

Web applications from marketing sites to complex SaaS platforms — fast, accessible, and built to be changed later.

Most web projects are not hard because the technology is hard. They are hard because the requirements were never written down, the design was approved before anyone asked how the data worked, and the thing that was actually needed became clear three weeks after launch. We build to expect that, with architecture that absorbs change rather than resisting it.

Who this is for

Companies whose website is a sales asset rather than a brochure. Businesses running operations through a web application. Teams inheriting a site nobody wants to touch, or paying for a platform they have outgrown.

Problems we solve

  • Slow pages losing customers. Load times that damage both conversion and search ranking.
  • Content locked behind developers. Every copy change requiring a ticket and a deploy.
  • Accessibility exposure. Sites unusable with a keyboard or screen reader, and increasingly a legal risk.
  • Invisible in search. Client-rendered content that crawlers never see.
  • Fragile deploys. No staging, no tests, so every change is a risk.

What we build

  • Marketing sites with server-side rendering, proper metadata and structured data
  • Web applications and internal tools with real authentication and permissions
  • Headless CMS setups so your team edits content without touching code
  • E-commerce storefronts and custom checkout flows
  • WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility built in rather than retrofitted
  • Core Web Vitals work: images, fonts, bundles and caching

How we work

We render on the server wherever content needs to be found, because search visibility is not something to bolt on afterwards. Content is editable by the people who own it. Performance and accessibility are checked in CI rather than audited once at launch and then allowed to decay.

Technologies we use

Next.js, React and TypeScript on the front end; Laravel, PHP and Node.js on the back; MySQL and PostgreSQL with Redis; Tailwind CSS for styling; Docker and GitHub Actions for deployment. WordPress, Shopify and Magento where a platform is genuinely the right answer.

Business benefits

  • Faster pages, which measurably affects both conversion and ranking
  • Marketing able to publish without an engineering queue
  • An accessible site, which is both wider reach and lower legal exposure
  • A codebase that can still be changed cheaply in year three

Common questions

WordPress or a custom build?

WordPress for content-led sites where editorial workflow is the priority. Custom where the application logic is the product. We recommend the cheaper option when it is genuinely the better one.

How do we keep it fast?

Server rendering, image optimisation, careful bundle size and sensible caching — with budgets enforced in CI so performance does not quietly regress after launch.

Can you work with our existing site?

Usually. We start with an audit of performance, accessibility, security and code health, then improve incrementally rather than insisting on a rebuild.

Have a site that is costing you customers? The audit tells you where.
