Project overview
Hawkamah, an app by Ooredoo, gives a Board of Directors a single place to view meeting calendars, agendas and documents. It supports board members across iOS and Android with secure access to governance information.
The challenge
The board needed a reliable, cross-platform app to view meeting calendars, agendas and documents, backed by new features and a dependable backend.
Our solution
We implemented new features and fixes, built the backend with PHP and Laravel, and developed APIs connecting it to the Flutter mobile app on iOS and Android. This kept the app running smoothly and improved how board members access and share information.
How we approached it
Board material is confidential, so access control and document handling were designed before any interface work. The Laravel API was built first as the single source of truth for meetings, agendas and documents, then the Flutter client against it — which is also what let one codebase serve board members across both platforms. The engagement continued into maintenance, so the API and client stay in step as the organisation's needs change.
The results
Kept the board app running smoothly and improved how directors access meeting calendars, agendas and documents across devices.
