Insight Timer — Meditation & Mindfulness App
I built a full meditation app, much like Calm. It has a rich UI and a working audio player. It also has animations, analytics and Google Firestore. I added a payment module as well.
Project overview
Insight Timer is a mobile meditation app in the style of Calm, built for people who want guided sessions and a calm listening experience. It pairs a rich interface with a full-featured audio player and a way to sell premium content.

The client needed a polished, cross-platform meditation app with smooth audio playback, engaging visuals and a way to sell premium content.
Our solution
We built the app in Flutter with a rich, animated interface and a reliable audio player at its core. We integrated analytics to understand usage, Google Firestore to store and sync content, and a payment module so users can unlock premium meditations.
How we approached it
Audio playback was proven before anything was built around it, since a meditation app is a listening experience and interruption or buffering breaks the entire proposition. Session state and progress were then modelled on top, with the interface deliberately quiet — fewer controls, larger targets, no competing motion — and third-party integrations kept behind the API layer.
The results
Delivered a launch-ready meditation app with smooth playback and a premium upgrade path, giving users a polished mindfulness experience.
